Introducing carbon capture for oceans.

We aim to capture 1 Billion tons of CO2 from our oceans by 2030. Capturing CO2 from the ocean helps us reduce the impact of acidification, all while producing green Hydrogen and increasing the capacity of CO2 absorption.

Our Product

The Ocean is a Carbon Sink

Our oceans capture more than 30% of all CO2 that we release into the atmosphere. Over geological timescales, the oceans turn the CO2 into Limestone and Magnesite. But with our ever-increasing production of greenhouse gasses, oceans are becoming ever-more acidic, making them uninhabitable for Marine Life and glaciers -- This is known as Ocean Acidification.

Our technology uses the principle of Ocean Acidification and speeds up the natural process of turning dissolved CO2 into rock using a technique called carbon mineralization.

The process only uses Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions that are naturally abundant in seawater.

Our Approach

Engineering for
Giga Impact.

We need to remove billions or gigatons of Carbon from the atmosphere to keep our global temperatures from rising above 2 degrees Celcius. A 1% increase in the ocean's capacity to capture CO2 could offset generations of Carbon emissions. Coral's technology is easily scalable, helping us remove billions of tons of atmospheric CO2 from the ocean, all while producing green Hydrogen and helping our oceans de-acidify.

Scalable

Coral's operations can be set up anywhere near the oceans. We can scale this operation to capture Gigatons of Carbon every year.

Sustainable

Coral does not use any amine scrubbers or rare earth metals. Instead, we use abundant minerals in the ocean for carbon capture and only use renewable energy for water electrolysis and pumping.

Clean bi-products

Our two main bi-products are green Hydrogen and soft water. Hydrogen can boost the green fuel cell economy while soft water can be fed into desalination plants.

Permanent

By increasing the speed at which nature operates, the sequestered Carbon is stored in the form of Calcite and Magnesite. Carbon remains trapped in this form safely away from the atmosphere.
